brights

Nothing like wearing bright colors when the skies are gray--winter doesn't have to be all about dark colors. Just take your summer outfits and add tights and a jacket! (east coasters, I live on the west coast, can you tell?)

Sweaters

Finally made it to the East Coast! It's cold and overcast and windy and I'm sitting by the fire listening to the tree branches outside tap against the windows. So so nice, so I'm posting some sweater inspiration.
In other news, when I was at the airport, I saw Amber Rose! She was walking by herself so my sister and I asked for a picture, had to share:

She was actually really nice, and wearing the Jeffrey Campbell Tardy's that I have--except of course in neon.

the red

I love this editorial, mostly for its focus on that amazing luscious red hair! I would love to go red one day, but it's always tough to bite the bullet! For now I'll put this in my folder of beautiful reds to show to my hairstylist for when I actually AM ready.

I posted that third picture down on my Tumblr recently and was so glad to find the rest of the editorial online lastnight. This is the best I've seen from Tiiu in...possibly ever! It's a rainy day in Northern California, I plan on starting my new book (Norwegian Wood) and drinking lots of green tea and wearing flannel because of tiiu!

It's finally the weekend and I can relax. I can't even explain how excited I am for Thanksgiving and the real weather I'll be getting to experience (I'll be in the Virginia/DC area...let me know if you have any shopping/food recommendations!). Okay, more like with some sort of really cute hat on top. I'm totally on board with the latest baseball cap craze and need to get my hands on one (by Supreme or Obey, preferably), but I'm also a beanie girl and you're likely to find me wearing one in the colder months. Cheers to hats!

Layers

It's finally that time of year where it's cold enough for me to wear multiple outfits in one. My outside facing-the-elements outfit, the comfier stuff that's underneath when you get to take your jacket off, and pretty underthings for movies and hot chocolate. I love fall.
