Green pants and black knits and architectural outerwear...I'm actually a little bummed that it's not colder outside. It was even unseasonably warm during my visit to the east coast! Needless to say I'll be in NYC for Christmas so I plan on taking full advantage of the cold and bundling in the chic-est (new word?)way possible.

With Thanksgiving over and Christmas right around the corner, I realized the other day that I need to start thinking about my new years dress! Last year I wore an amazing Elizabeth and James black cocktail dress, but this year I'm thinking maybe I'll go a little crazier. Have you guys started thinking about new years? Tell me your plans!

Oh goddd Cara Delevigne and these dresses is almost too dreamy of a combination for me to handle. Definitely have a new obsession for her.

As a glasses wearer, I'm much more aware of details when it comes to eyeglasses (or at least it feels that way). I've been wearing the same Burberry frames for years and years now, just because I feel they suit my face so well. Sorry for the punny title, but I'm thinking of changing my frames one of these days just to switch things up, and all these are a lot crazier than the ones I wear but I'm kind of okay with that! Also, I just watched the newest Selby film about Lucy Chadwick--if any of you can ID those frames, I will love you forever! They are the ones I truly want and I can't find the designer anywhere! I'd post a picture but I'm writing this from the airport and the internet sucks. Love you.

Got back from the east coast this morning and it's suddenly 80 degrees where I am--weather is so weird sometimes. Taking this sunny summer inspiration (hello Australians and people on the other hemisphere!) and kind of just running with it...even though I didn't pack shorts.

For me, sweater weather is better weather. I spent the whole day (my last in DC!) with my fam walking around, eating a great meal, and seeing the musts of the capitol. I can't tell you how excited I am to curl up by the fire in my favorite sweater with a mug of tea and just relaaax.

For some reason, I feel like this is exactly how Tati Cotliar would dress if this wasn't an editorial--either way the slouchy letterman's jacket and the mickey mouse sweater are so easy and yet so chic--and who can resist all that denim?

I love this editorial, mostly for its focus on that amazing luscious red hair! I would love to go red one day, but it's always tough to bite the bullet! For now I'll put this in my folder of beautiful reds to show to my hairstylist for when I actually AM ready.

I know the multicolored hair thing has been a thing for a while buuuut...I'm not sick of it. Especially when paired with understated basics like a navy sweater or anything with stripes.
Also, I wanted to announce that I randomly generated the winner for the Shabby Apple contest and the winner is Nam! She doesn't have a blog linked in the comments, but I've e-mailed her to let her know. Thank you all for participating!

I posted that third picture down on my Tumblr recently and was so glad to find the rest of the editorial online lastnight. This is the best I've seen from Tiiu in...possibly ever! It's a rainy day in Northern California, I plan on starting my new book (Norwegian Wood) and drinking lots of green tea and wearing flannel because of tiiu!
