Vogue Italia 1997 feat. Angela Lindvall
I love when older fashion editorials still feel so relevant. The minimalism, the strappy shoes, that leopard bikini...all things I could see in editorials today yet this just has that perfect vintage touch.

the golfing ladies

golfing lady sweater & polka dot button up, vintage; jeans, american apparel;

Some requirements that a great sweater must have: good color, fun pattern of some sort, pockets, cozy but not itchy. This sweater fulfills my wildest sweater dreams, hand-stitched lady golfers and all. Found it while vintage shopping with my good friend Denni a while ago. Whenever I wear a vintage piece, I remember where I bought it and who I was with and why I got it and it's great to be reminded of good friends!

meow meow

coat, h&m; twist scarf as belt, American Apparel; glitter heels, Miu Miu; clear lucite clutch, vintage;

If you read my blog (those rare times that i post?!) you probably know that I love two things: glitter and clear stuff. These were the only shoes that I have been dying over in a long long time, so I'm so excited to add them to my arsenal of glitter twinkle toe shoes. Also, I have to say, it's pretty freeing to wear your coat as a dress.

I hope it starts getting cold and rainy in LA, I didn't really have a summer because I've been so busy with work so I want to move along and start my fall and winter already.

no light

dress & glitter mule, vintage;

This dress has been my uniform for a little while, i find it so flattering and so easy to just throw on and i'm out the door!

throw it on

sweater, orange button up, & sparkle socks, american apparel; leather sandals and esprit skirt, vintage;

I always find myself throwing this sweater over all my outfits. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. Oh well! I spent last weekend gardening and thrift store hoping for great housewares. I went looking for a nice table but instead I came home with a lamp and inca bookends. I'm still searching for that perfect table, I'm sure i'll find it soon!

saturday morning

dress & coat, vintage;

Been spending most my mornings just sitting around reading a good book. I've always been this way, but lately I've gotten much more hermit-like and would rather stay here and cook or read then go out. Nothing better then home. Helps me reflect and reevaluate what's important in my life and focus on those things and people.

kitty birthday party

cat party shirt, vintage;

More cats, because I cant control myself. I mean it's a cat birthday party on a shirt, can it get any better? Found this gem at one of my favorite thrift stores. I get a lot of questions about which thrift & vintage stores to go to in LA, I might do a post about that soon if I'm not too lazy. Off to work now, but if you guys haven't yet be sure to enter to win a giftcard to fashiolista here!

lack of sleep and a yellow sweater

sweater, vintage; shorts, american apparel;

I've not been able to sleep for a little while. I usually just lay there going over the movie that is playing in my head on repeat of things I need to do, things I have to remember, things I should have done.

tee & belt, american apparel; jeans, vintage; bag, bella borz;

A typical outfit for this summer, little fuss clothing for lazy girls like me. I'll be the first to admit I'm not a bag girl. I can count my purses on one hand and many of them I've been using since I started college. To me, a good bag needs to be well made so it will last forever, and not too flashy so that I'll still want to wear it after forever. That's why when I was recently introduced to Bella Borz I was really intrigued. The fact that you can detach the front pouch and use it as a clutch makes it lazy girl proof, so I'm totally into it.

sweetheart

playsuit, vintage;

Whenever something is upsetting me, I tend to find something to do to keep me busy and keep my mind off my troubles. I've been having a hard week with stress from all over. So I spent all day yesterday baking and drowned my feelings in rich chocolate. Except I got a little carried away and I made too much batter. I decided to use it to make cookies, cupcakes and madelines. Some came out good...some not too pretty. Doesn't matter though because they were all sweet and delicious! Also when I'm upset, I find myself drawn to bright colored clothing to help brighten up my mood, and that is why I love wearing this jumpsuit. Especially the fact that it has these clowny pants, big and billowy, brings me back to life.

Pup

On Me: ginger jacket & chiffon cam, american apparel; red pants, vintage; wedges, yesstyle.com;

On Rosé: fur coat, her own;

My co-worker's puppy Rosé and I had the same color story going on in our outfits today! No way I am able to focus on any serious work when she's around, her sexiness is too much to handle, I just turn to marshmallow-lovey-dovey-mush.
